Kopal was the best food tour guide we’ve had and we’ve been on lots of food tours! She is so knowledgeable, picked out the best spots, and gave us wonderful insight on everything we tasted. We highly recommend this tour!

Esther was a fantastic host with so much knowledge about the Rome food culture! I thought the food portions were a touch small at the start of the tour but you end up completely full! A worthwhile experience!

Semi-Private Trastevere Food Tour

Our Trastevere Food Tour just got an upgrade—smaller groups, bigger flavour, and a deeper connection to real Roman food culture. With only 6 people per group, you’ll enjoy personalised attention from your guide and a more intimate experience with fellow food lovers. You’ll savour the best of Trastevere at a relaxed pace, no rushing, no waiting—just excellent food, fast service, and meaningful stories behind every bite.

We’ve also upgraded the menu to include a second course with your choice of a hearty meat or veggie main, made from locally and sustainably sourced, pesticide-free ingredients. You’ll dine at intergenerational, family-run eateries that have been part of the Trastevere community for decades, places where recipes are passed down like heirlooms and “slow food” is a way of life. Oh, and did we mention that you'll also get limoncello? What could be better than that!

Ready for a delectable experience in Rome? Prepare for an unforgettable adventure through one of the city's trendiest (and tastiest!) neighbourhoods, at a perfect pace for everyone in your group.

Please note that the places we visit and the food we try depends on the season. We also have vegetarian options available at every stop!

This is a sustainable tour, meaning part of the profit goes towards reforestation

Summer’s coming! We ask our guests to bring a reusable water bottle to refill along our route to stay hydrated and also help us reduce waste.

Tour Highlights

  • Check iconMore Personalised experience: With just 6 people in your group, your guide can better cater (pun intended!) to your needs, offering tailored recommendations and addressing dietary preferences, all while building a more personal connection with each individual.
  • Check iconMore intimate atmosphere: Wander through Trastevere’s charming, narrow streets in a small group, where you’ll feel more like you’re uncovering local treasures with friends rather than just part of a crowd.
  • Check iconSmoother transitions: Unlike larger groups that require extra time to get organised, a smaller group lets you move seamlessly from one stop to the next, gaining exclusive access to hidden gems that larger groups can’t easily visit.
  • Check iconBetter engagement with locals: With fewer people, you’ll have more chances to connect with local vendors, who are often more willing to share stories and special insights with a smaller group.

Meet at Piazza Mastai

Our group meets in this historic square just off Trastevere’s main street

Say Cheese (and Porchetta)

Taste the sharp notes and subtleties of cheeses like Parmigiano and pecorino accompanied by a savoury slice of porchetta melt in your mouth.

Fry Me To The Moon

Bite into a fried rice ball oozing with ragù and then you'll begin to understand why the Italians are such big fans of fried food!

Steal A Pizza Your Heart

Everyone thinks they know pizza until they come to Italy. In Rome, pizza is less fast food and more of an art form, a subtle blend of crispy crust decorated with flavourful toppings. We'll take you to our favourite local pizzeria, but be warned: Papa John's will never taste the same again.

Say Pasta La Vista To Tourist Traps

Skip the rip-off tourist traps. Indulge in homemade Roman pasta with a range of traditional sauces, from amatriciana and carbonara to gricia and cacio e pepe.

After Pasta Comes Commitment

Pasta and then a main? Absolutely. Romans don’t rush commitment. After your pasta course, settle in for a traditional Roman dish that changes with the seasons and local specialities. Extra? Yes. But we love it.

Gelato The Finish Line

End on a high note, aka, with gelato. Creamy, dreamy, and dangerously good, we’ll visit one of the city centre’s most beloved artisan gelaterias. Resistance is futile.

Lowest Price Guarantee up to 24 hours before the experience starts (local time).
